Dr. Brenner graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1981. After his General Surgery training, he completed his one year Hand Surgery fellowship under H. Kirk Watson MD in Hartford, Ct. The next two years were spent training in Plastic Surgery at the SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has been in private practice since 1987, became board certified in Plastic Surgery in 1990, and as of 1992, has concentrated his elective practice to specifically Hand Surgery. In 1993 he earned the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand from the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.
His present interests are all aspects of Hand Surgery including tumors, fractures, pain, trauma, etc. In addition, he treats many patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and specializes in endoscopic carpal tunnel release, of which, he has performed over 700.
Dr. Brenner's philosophy is to treat his patients as though they were himself. His nurses and office staff, as you will find, have the same attitude, creating a family type atmosphere.
Dr. Brenner enjoys playing guitar, flying, and is a triathlete. Together, with his wife and three children, they enjoy all that the Hudson Valley has to offer. |
